Informed after 7 years she was closing her practice to provide high cost ?coaching? to elite professionals. At termination she promised to notify me if she returned to private practice. Termination was disrupting, left me few referrals, no transfer of care, in crisis. Last year I became aware she had returned to private practice. Having been unable to establish care with new provider, I emailed asking if I could return to working with her. Received response from assistant informing me ?Dr. Parker?s books will be ?full? for foreseeable future? Worse?close friend had scheduled a new client appointment that same week with her. She vacillated from ensuring I knew I was cared about to forbidding discussion of any transference. She has been flighty, unpredictable, deeply hurtful, avoidant, confusing and dishonest. A 60-year-old adult woman lying to a previous client instead of having a direct conversation obviously puts her own comfort before that of her clients.

She offered compassionate translations if I struggled to express myself and showed analytical ability, but she constantly corrected what I said (felt like navigating landmines.) I had difficulty getting a word in, there was no allowance for diff. of opinion (she got defensive) and what I said was always morphed into her interpretation (I didn't feel heard). Sessions grew tense and I lost trust in her ability to create a safe place, to truly hear us and to remain objective/professional.

Definitely don’t reccommebd
She seemed nice at first, but when she was asking me questions, she seemed frustrated with me. Jumped into problem solving much too soon-making suggestions that were irrelevant.
