not friendly
the moment i walked into that office she was yelling on the phone with some lady on the phone. shes so judgmental and lacks empathy, i had a hard time sharing and opening up with her due to this. she doesn't prepare for the session, half of the session was reminding this lady on what happened in the last session. if you're young, don't go to her, as she has a very traditional mindset.

Top notch therapist!
The moment Cynthia opened the waiting room door and greeted me for the first time with her warm and genuine smile she set my mind at ease. She is attentive to your problems and concerns. Therapy isn’t easy, and in many cases not quick, but sticking with her has resolved many of my family’s issues. After several sessions my family is much calmer, happier and more relaxed. You can say anything to her and she is non judgmental, patient and has a way of bringing around self realization. I have seen other therapists and Cynthia is by far the easiest to talk with. It is like talking to a girlfriend. I feel very fortunate to have found Cynthia. She is a gem and we are lucky to have her in San Ramon. .

We found Dr. Corbrett always prepared for our sessions. Like any good Doctor, she sometimes provides a message that you may not be ready to hear. She offered a roadmap during an uncomfortable time that was results oriented. She also suggested we have a plan to coincide with that roadmap. We found her guidance to be most helpful.

Agree with the observations about her being judgmental and showing limited empathy. I had two sessions and when I showed up for the second one she had not even taken a couple of minutes to prepare by scanning her notes, which she couldn't find (but she did make sure she got paid by the insurance). I found myself repeating my point of view several times on the same issue to the point of frustration. No matter what I said, she had her biases and stuck to them, even if they did not hold true for what I was sharing. I was hoping to get much needed support and left confused and sad, as many other clients pointed out.

I went to Dr. Corbett for 4 sessions and I always felt so judged that it made things way harder to share. I always left more upset than when I came. She does not help at all.

She has been extremely professional and thorough through out my sessions with her. She listens well, asks appropriate questions. She provides "guidance" when needed to get me to the point of improving my own self care. She is very good at guiding me to see the positive aspects of my own actions when I am unable to do so. She has been a great team member with my other physicians in providing an appropriate attainable wellness program for me. I greatly appreciate her work/guidance with me.

It was such a traumatic and awful experience! I went through Kaiser insurance and was not too sure of the procedure. When I told her that they did not provide a reference number she started mocking me and interagating me about my insurance, saying stuff like How do I even know you have Kaiser and Oh you talked to some man?, what was his name I need to make sure I'm gonna get paid. She was so rude to me, and I did nothing. She assumed a lot, and was mean. I walked out crying.

She saw my children, only about 4 sessions. At the beginning of every session she would say, Let's see...money, money, money, then check to see if we owed her anything. The last session she had with my children, she spent 20 minutes of our scheduled therapy time discussing out bill, then hand wrote an invoice. She was also out of the office every other week over about a 6 week period.
