She is highly trained and it shows. Beyond her professional pedigree she is naturally compassionate, empathetic and patient.Her experience shines through, as it is quite obvious that she has been providing this service for several decades.

As the parent of a teenager who was receiving counseling, I can only say that Cyndee Darby is outstanding. She really helped my child. I would recommend her to both adults and adolescents.

Not only did she try to send me to sketchy "alternative" practitioners who were going to sell me expensive supplements, essential oils, and MLM devices (that she claimed were great, she knew one person who really thought they helped), she talked to me like a bossy aunt, not a therapist. When I told her that I was there to get help addressing a chronic argument in my marriage, she told me to quite my job, put my kids into a specific school, and spend my days cleaning the house so my husband would have time to watch tv without me asking him to pitch in. She gave me names and phone numbers of other moms in the community she wanted me to be friends with. I have no trouble making friends, and, even if I did, the role of a therapist is not to pass out phone numbers and "do the work" for the client. Overall, she was not using any kind of evidence-based therapy. I do not recommend her at all for any situation, I wouldn't trust her to use evidence-based methods.
