I'm 5'6" and weigh 141 at 47 years old. My BMI is 22.76. I have been under a ton of stress, including the sudden death of my dad. I consulted because my stomach is causing me misery. He acted like I was interrupting his day and his assessment was obesity. I'm beyond distraught and my stomach hurts worse than ever. He also noted all kinds of economic disadvantages he felt I have, including no transportation, housing and food concerns. I guess a brand new top of the line truck and recent home purchase still rate me as an obese, fat loser....even though we never discussed my economic status. He did discuss test results from tests that were never done. Medical care like this sure put me in my place as a middle aged woman. I canceled my colonoscopy that's recommended over the age of 45 and could really care less....but I'm sure he will still collect a hefty amount from my insurance company. Safe yourself and your insurance some money because he doesn't care.
