Worst Experience Ever
I went for couples therapy with my wife and we had more than 5 sessions with her. I don't know where to start with how bad she was. She had no clear plan that we were working towards. It seemed like a new session every time we went, meaning we were starting all over again and she didn't get to know us. This led to more issues of her using stereotypes in her counseling. She outright stated: "What do you think, men don't cry." I couldn't make this up, instead of getting to know me, she used the perception that mean aren't in touch with their feelings to counsel me. She was also one sided and leaned more towards my wife. What happened to what's best for the relationship? Not with her, it seemed like men are always the problem. I don't recommend seeing her or you might leave her office in deep anguish like I did. I thought counseling was supposed to be a safe space and space of healing, not with her.
