Claire Murphy, NP

I felt my visit with her was extremely rushed. She did the breas t/pelvic exams but after, she quickly concluded the visit. She never asked if I had questions. With her hand on the door, I asked her a question about a concern that I had mentioned during intake. She seemed uncomfortable to talk about it and had her back to me half the time. She gave unclear answers and generally seemed uncomfortable with me asking her specific sexual health related questions, even though she is a gynecologist. In this conversation, she consistently referred to my partner as a man even though I told her I was gay. I had another issue with heavy and weeks long periods that she completely dismissed & told me to “keep an eye on it” giving me a pat on the back. She never asked about my family history or risk factors, of which I have many. This seems like relevant info that my doctor should have wanted to know. If it weren’t so difficult to get in with another gyno, I would certainly go elsewhere.
