Amazing Dr of over 20 years
Dr. Staron is a very knowledgeable doctor who shows pure and genuine concern for each and every patients. I’m not sure about these other people complaining about a .25 change as that has almost 0 effect on the vision. He is very thorough, quick yet extremely efficient and explains everything very well. I am 100% confident in his schooling and training. He also now does a wellness exam and has new equipment that checks for many different diseases inside of the eye. I have been to optomologists that didn’t detect any of the stuff Dr. Staron has done me for and my family. I highly recommend, one unsatisfied patient doesn’t mean a bad doctor. Sometimes the patient is just never satisfied anymore. Dr mark and Dr Choi are also wonderful

Prescription were off.
I got an eyeglasses prescription from Dr. Staron and my eyes just don't feel right afterward. I went back and his delegate did another exam and found out the prescription was off by 0.25. I wasted a lot of time adjusting to wrong glasses and Costco optical department had to remake glasses. I don't believe neither doctors checked for eye diseases at all. They were rush to get you out .

Because Dr. Staron is located right inside the Bloomingdale Costco, and I get my eyeglasses there anyway, I went to him for my eye exam. In retrospect I shouldn't have take the easy way out by being lazy. The first pair of glasses gave me headaches on a daily basis, so I went for a re-exam and a new script. I was given a new Rx, and this one doesn't work either. I refused to go back because he appears disinterested in hearing my story, rushes me through the exam (especially the second one) and doesn't take any time to address my questions. I subsequently went to an eye clinic, and it turns out I have cataracts! Now I don't know if Dr. Staron could detect that, but I was advised not to try to get new glasses until I've had surgery. So that's 100's of dollars down the tube in regular glasses and a pair of sunglasses. The folks at Costco couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating, so I recommend their services highly. Just bring in a Rx from a good Dr.
