Upon discharge after a total hip replacement I was asked the usual questions pre-discharge subjective and objective questions prior to release. Later I reviewed the assessment and was shocked to find that many answers did not coincide with what I remembered. Understanding the patient can be biased I checked with my sister, a retired college professor and several years my junior who was in the room when this questionnaire was taken if she remembered my answers as being those stated on the form.
