Bad experience
I saw Dr. Calix a hand-full times, and to most of our appointments she was late. From the first session, Dr. Calix talked a lot about her personal life and told long stories that didn't apply to what I was there to discuss, but would try to relate herself to me. One time, I watched the clock as she talked about herself for 18 minutes straight. No therapist should be talking for that long. After cancelling a few sessions (because she would schedule me when I was not available) and then finally letting her know that I would not be continuing with her, she never reached out to check in or ask for feedback. Which is ironic because she emailed me 4 times trying to get me to make the first appointment. Felt like she did not care about me as a client at all, and just wanted my money.

Amazing!
Telehealth
I have been seeing Dr. Calix for the past 2 years. She is incredible! She's very knowledgeable and patient. She took the time to get to know me as a person and although she knew on day 1 what my condition was, she gave me the time to understand and accept it with no judgement. She also has an understanding of my culture and the impact it may have on my mental health. I am so grateful to have found her and have her help.

Best Psychologist in San Diego!!!
2008 - is when I first met Dr. Christine Calix. After meeting with several therapist and psychologist, Dr. Christine Calix was the one both myself and my husband agreed would be my doctor. Fast forward 2022, I am still a patient of Dr. Calix and made the decision to continue my therapy with Dr. Calix even after over a decade! Living a balanced life being bipolar is my biggest challenge, although having the therapy I continuously have with Dr Calix has gotten me through some very depressive episodes as well as manic episodes too. She has helped me get care beyond hers when I had a turning point in my life where I needed to be hospitalized for a few days and regained balance once again so I can function at work as well as at home too. Every time I'm done with therapy during my session, I always feel confident that I have the tools and the thought process to continue being successful at home and at work with all that Dr. Calix has counseled me through. I am grateful for Dr. Calix!

Dr Calix facilitated me making some really significant personal growth over the past year. He is honest, compassionate, knowledgeable and I have had a very positive experience with him and PCSD. His insight and support had been invaluable to me and I will always be grateful for the opportunity to have had therapy with him during a pivotal point in my life. Dr. Calix’s expertise is a real gift to those in need of a life changing therapeutic experience. Thank you!

A very gentle and thoughtful therapist. Very insightful. He asks questions that make you take a closer look at what is going on with you. I feel very safe expressing my thoughts with him. I've shared things with him, I have never shared with family or friends. I'm not sure what the comment meant about him only in it for the money. He's with a group of practitioners not in private practice. I doubt he really "rakes in the dough!"

Dr. Calix is above superb! He listens intensely to his patients without judgement. He's kind and calming. It took a long time for me to choose a therapist that I could talk to and trust. I'm so happy I found him. If you really need the help, this is the doctor for you...

This guy is only in it for the money. Doesn't care about his patients. Cares about the Benjamins. Should have retired 10 years ago. You could get better pyschological advice from Lucy Van Pelt.
