Dr. Christina Stai, PSY.D

Dr Stai has a fairly thorough testing process for diagnosing most disorders. However, her reports are her perception of your whole personality based on a handful of tests. She could definitely work on writing more professionally by just reporting what the tests show and not what she thinks it means for your whole personality. For example, her testing barely scraped the surface for someone with PTSD but wrote throughout the report that certain maladaptive behaviors for trauma were likely just manipulation and control tactics. Some of which were never even discussed during testing but merely brought up in the report on her perception of what your personality is like in hypothetical situations. For example she claimed I would knowingly and willfully hurt others and get pleasure from it which is entirely untrue. However, she reported any of the trauma I described in my answers as “irrelevant information.” My therapist referred me here and said she will never refer anyone else after reading the final report. It’s a blow to your ego to say the least, and a detonation to your self esteem.

Refused to see our son even though the issues we indicated were listed as her expertise. Very disappointing and no explanation given.
