I am writing to share my experience from my recent appointment with Dr. Cheryl Guidry. Unfortunately, my experience was quite negative. From the moment we met, I felt that Dr. Cheryl Guidry was dismissive and unkind. When I asked questions regarding my fertility issues, her response was surprisingly blunt. She said she couldn’t assist me with my situation, and instead suggested seeing a specialist without providing clear guidance on how to proceed. When I inquired about the next steps, her tone left me feeling belittled rather than supported. Additionally, I was left in tears after our appointment as I felt disrespected and misunderstood. I had to insist on getting an ultrasound to check for cysts, and her response, questioning my understanding of cysts, added to my discomfort. I believe that as a patient, open communication and empathy are crucial. I hope this feedback is taken into consideration to improve future in interaction with patients

Was overdue for my well-woman check up and my MD was booked too far out, so I went to Guidry, as I would soon need RX renewal. Upon her entry to the exam room, she did not introduce herself to me. Upon discussion of my meds, she informed me that the MD had prescribed the medication incorrectly and it was not appropriate for a woman with a uterus. She would not engage in a discussion about the fact my regular MD (also MemorialCare Med Group) had previously prescribed it that way, and why it was indeed acceptable for a woman, even with a uterus! As a nurse myself, I understood the medication and it’s use, but she told me I was wrong, that the medication had been prescribed incorrectly, and that I had had been using it incorrectly. Fortunately, my regular obGyn was available through email contact and she was able to renew the RX for me.
