Couples Counseling - Terrible Experience
My husband and I saw Charles for several sessions after I discovered my husband's affair. Charles was completely biased in favor of my husband. He was judgmental towards me and constantly gave my husband a "free pass" for blatantly wrong behavior. He was completely dismissive of my concerns, completely minimized the pain my husband was causing and repeatedly gave his personal opinions about our issues - siding with my husband - which should not happen in couples counseling. I had booked an initial appointment when I was in a fragile state due to on-going abuse and thought Charles would help. Instead, counseling sessions with him hurt my mental health even more. It was shocking. I am still very upset at what I experienced. I normally don't leave negative reviews but I believe what happened was wrong and I want other women especially, to be aware of my experience. It seems Charles does well with teenagers.
