Charles Boyer, PA

I had the great fortune to be treated by Charles Boyer recently. I was referred to this nephrology practice by my PCP, and I was extremely impressed with the professional and caring service I received from Charles. Many in healthcare are extremely busy and rushed. It leads to use of closed-ended questions (such as, "Do you have any questions?") which limit communication. Charles asked me, not once but twice, "What questions do you have that I can answer?" That use of open-ended questions really impressed me, and he continually demonstrated empathy and caring for my concerns and questions. He is sincere in his emphasis on patient care and satisfaction. his practice should consider itself lucky to have him on staff.

I was sent to this practice BY A CARDIOLOGIST, it was not my choice to go to a nephrologist. The initial person, a young woman was very sweet and our encounters with office staff have been satisfactory. However, the PA, Charles Boyer, was incredibly condescending and unprofessional! I saw the doctor for 3 minutes after meeting with the PA. Although his attitude initially was better than that of Charles Boyer, the physician has done zero follow after sending me for expensive testing! With the lack of follow up, any testing is meaningless and a complete waste of our time and money. Horribly unprofessional! I would never recommend this practice!
