Cecilia Mitchell, OTR

I had a great experience with Cecilia. I was referred to her for wrist pain I had been experiencing for 5+ months due to overuse as a mom and RN. She gave me simple exercises to do and I have seen significant improvement. Most importantly, I felt she truly understood my current life situation as a busy mom on the verge of a break down and worked with me to develop a care plan that fit into my life (i.e., most effective exercises in minimal amount of time, no unnecessary weekly visits just for her to watch me do the exercises, I can call her with questions, etc.). My only complaint is that, when I saw her, there were 6+ people in a smallish room with no ventilation during a pandemic. Otherwise, I thought Cecilia herself was very knowledgeable, a good teacher, and caring. I would use her again and recommend her.

I injured my hand at work, needed therapy to gain full range of motion again. I wasn’t told I would be given to an OT that only likes to work with white folks. Seemed to be less than knowledgeable about ligaments and tendons too. Her unusual “therapy” set me back another 2 months. Don’t recommend, don’t understand how she is still working for UCHealth.
