Dr. Cathy Sowers, DNP

Disappointed I remain in Cathy. She is suppose to be the expert at monument health with regards to osteoporosis and Bone Density Exam. She is not. when you results come from your bone density exam, she corners you in her office and proceeds to scare you and sell you on all the different meds to improve your bone density. She does spend one min telling you about natural ways to improve your bone density issues. I wonder if she is getting a kick back from all the drugs she pushes on you. Do your own research please, many of the drugs she suggests are scary with sever side effects. She is very weak at best. Don't believe everything she says, do your own research into the drugs she pushes on you.

You can tell Dr. Sowers cares deeply about her patients. I don’t trust anyone else with my family and our health needs!

Cathy is always so pleasant and kind when we see her in the clinic. She has an uplifting attitude and pleasant demeanor, even when we just pass by her in the hall. She cares about the person as a whole down to the core.

Stay away from Cathy! I kept going to her with the same problem (2 years) and she would tell me to take a supplement. I would take the supplement and my pain was only getting worse. This happened three times. The last time she said she wouldn’t refer me to a specialist because I wasn’t following her instructions. I was following the instructions. I was just getting worse. 3 days after that appointment I ended up in the ER. A surgeon had to refer me to the specialist I needed. Cathy had the audacity to mail me a letter saying ‘I see you found another way to get referred to the specialist.’ So unprofessional. I wish I would have turned it in to administration. Found out I have a chronic illness after seeing the specialist.

Read my original review on Google! Do not see this Dr.!! She is VERY narrow minded. She gave up on caring for me and suggested I see a psychiatrist as she thought my symptoms were ‘in my head.’ I did see a psychiatrist who told me I did NOT have a psychiatric problem but a MEDICAL problem. Was diagnosed at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN by an Endocrinologist with-Fibromyalgia and Carbohydrate Intolerance. After treatment and lifestyle changes, I’m happy to say I’m a whole, new person!!
