Cathy Fonder, FNP-C

I have been on blood pressure medicine for over 40 years and at one point was taking three different pills a day. I was still Stage 1 or 2 hypertension. The third pill was prescribed by a Cardiologist after an Angiogram. As pills were added I was not scheduled for any followup to see if they were working. I gradually reduced my pills while monitoring my blood pressure and found no change. On my first visit to Ms. Fonder for Hypertension she prescribed a new blood pressure medicine (very low dose) and a test checking my kidney function. She asked me to take my blood pressure daily (for ten days) and send the results to her team. I received a reply to continue with the prescribed dosage and my kidney function was ok. This medicine does not make we feel nauseated like the other medicine did and my blood pressure (I take it every morning) is now normal or pre-hypertension something I had not seen in 40 years. What impresses me about Ms. Fonder's team is her listening and the followup.
