Carolyn Bourg, LCSW

Ms. Bourg has been a lifeline for me. The first time I met with her I was recently out of a behavioral unit and she helped me get back on my feet. I think she used solution-focused brief therapy as well as some long term interventions. I was able to go back to work and school again and engage in relationships. I have met with her several times throughout the years when I needed help. Everyone is different but I know that I have become more able to manage my mental health using the interventions she taught me.

Projects her personal issues into any "treatment." Biased care at best.

My experience with Ms. Bourg is excellent. At first I was skeptical of sharing my feelings with her because she was a stranger. Even though I had very little to say, Ms. Bourg never pushed me into saying anything until I was ready. It took several visits before I finally started to share my feelings but in the meantime she used all the tools and training she have to still make me feel comfortable in the midst of me not trusting her. Ms. Bourg's professionalism is superb. Thanks for caring.

Carolyn is very friendly and caring. She has a great heart and giving nature. The office is very comfortable and relaxing. The receptionist, Tracy, is very friendly and greets everyone with a smile. Talking with Carolyn is like talking to a long lost friend. She does not sugar coat things and provides secure, honest evaluations. Everything is kept private and you know and feel the comfort and safety in their office. Very professional, but enjoys laughing and helping people through their trials.

Carolyn is working with me to manage my anxiety. During our visits, she strikes the perfect balance between listening and asking questions. She also allows time to reflect on past experiences, but focuses on strategies for learning new behaviors that will allow me to experience less anxiety and more joy and calm in my life. She is quite familiar with the medications available and their side effects. She provided two very informative handouts that have had a positive impact on my relationships.

Carolyn was very condescending and kept asking what I wanted her to do for me. Well, obviously i need help. Very rude. She is also very uninformed about certain subjects. At the end, we were walking out and in front of 2 other patients in the waiting room she stated discussing my problem. That's breaking confidentiality. Needless to say, I never went back.

She was wonderful to both my son and husband.. she was able to give my husband a diagnosis and send him to another great doctor, after many other doctors diagnosed incorrectly, and after a few therapist dropping out on my son due to cutting back hours and insurance changes, in just a few short months she got my son through abandament issues from his biological mother leaving him at 3, and after about 6 months he is doing amazing.. shes great
