Carol rushes her appointments and with her patients. She spends hardly anytime with the patients history and immediately rushed to medications and quick diagnosis. I would not trust her with any serious decisions.

Find another Dermatology practice,,,,, Western Dermatology (WD) does NOT serve patients well. After a 2 month relationship with WD they said they could not conclude what was going on and sent my records to me.
Just the procedure of getting an appointment is impersonal and inconsiderate of the patient. I found myself asking why these people claimed to be interested in their patients. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

I would stay away from this place! I saw Dr. Purcell who thought I might have a couple small precancerous spots. I told her that what she was pointing to was a recent scrape from an injury. She talked me into freezing the two spots anyway. A month later, I got an unexpected bill for this unnecessary procedure. I spoke with the billing department who was unsympathetic and said there was nothing he could do. It is unfortunate that they choose to operate their business this way.

Dr. Purcell spent a whole two minutes on my full skin check, breezing over my areas of concern but pausing on moles I've had my entire life. She was condescending in the short explanations she gave, talked over me while I tried to explain my concerns, and brushed off my concern over a painful mole that appeared and grew rapidly, saying it was just "dry".

She took less than a minute to give my daughter an exam for a suspicious mole. She said it wasn't anything to worry about. Rather than take the time to educate my daughter on what a suspicious mole looks like, ask about other concerns or other moles or discuss when to see a dermatologist, she just ended the appointment. I wasn't even done with the paper work when my daughter was finished. We paid $40 for 2 minutes of her time. If I could give less than a 1 star rating, I would.

I made an appointment to see Carol Purcell as she could see me the quickest. After a brief exam, she spent the longest period of the exam trying to sell me a laser treatment from the spa. She biopsied a mole and ordered blood work with no explanation of why this was being done. She said she would call with results within 10 days. Now 16 days later with positive results in both blood and biopsy and still no call from her, nor any response when I call the office. Unacceptable.
