Dr. Candace Decaires-McCarthy, PSY.D

I had been to several other therapists, and my state of wellness had not changed much in the last seven years, so I was very hesitant about EMDR therapy. I was extremely pleased with the results of working with Dr. Decaries-McCarthy. She helped me identify my triggers, discuss issues I had forgotten/blocked, and establish a comfortable framework for discussing my PTSD trauma and other issues. I highly recommend Dr, Decaires-McCarthy as a therapist. She can get to the issues, identify them, and help her patients establish coping and healing techniques. A truly gifted professional.

Dr. Candace D M is such a great doctor. We could not have made it through all of our hard times without her. She was a life line to my husband and we will forever be indebted to her for her skills expertise in treatment. If you are looking for someone that can help improve your situation she is the one. I am sure that without her guidance the outcome for my husband would have been hopeless for ever. She practices with the VA for sure I know and I can not even imagine how many patients she has helped.

My experience has been a beautiful journey. My eyes have been opened to specific strategies that will help me in my daily life. She is AWESOME!!!

Dr. Decaires-McCarthy is a very intelligent and very in tune with what the patient needs. I absolutely would recommend her to any friends or family. She takes the time to listen and understand what the patient is saying, allows the patient to really be heard.
