Calista worked with me and my partner for couples counseling for approx. 4 months at the VA. She never answered her phone, literally. She only used e-mail. When she had to cancel, she wouldn't call. She'd cancel the link to the electronic meeting and I would have the burden of figuring out what happened to my appointment. Then after months of working together, she wouldn't return my calls or e-mail. When another Doctor from the VA messaged Calista to get a hold of me to schedule, she replied FINALLY by electronic message ONLY that she talked to her supervisor and based on how things were going, she wasn't willing to work with us until we got individual help. She said nothing else but she'd give us another referral for another counselor when we were ready. As a patient, she wasted our time, didn't communicate with us and left me feeling mistrustful of VA staff. Finally, don't e-mail her more than 2x or curse. After all that she didn't do, she's punitive when it comes to behavior issues.
