Dr. Bruce Cappo, PSY

Absolute dumpster fire excuse for a human being. If you have to see him related to anything involving helping your life become easier or less stressful then look elsewhere. This guy is part of the mental health problem in America. He thinks he’s above VA medical support, he thinks he’s above the law and can override your amendment rights, he’s a condescending arrogant jerk and won’t take anything you say into consideration, and if he has to report back to your employer..? Kiss your job goodbye. If I could give negative stars I would. Avoid this clown and this “clinic” at all costs. They don’t have your best interest at heart. Thank him for ruining another career as you walk out his office. Also I will be taking all of my files and evidence to every news organization I can show the country just how well it treats its Veterans.

The staff seemed to running around and answers were hard to come by regarding payment and scheduling. This place is so overbooked so I am going to give Dr. Cappo the benefit of the doubt. However, I was very disappointed with how I was dismissed quickly after testing and I felt that my problems fell upon deaf ears. It was very frustrating to be set back further in my treatment and to want to look for another clinic to be treated with empathy in. Especially with how hard it is to get an appointment. The testing facility was clean and the the lady who administered my test was very kind. So there are positives but overall my experience was underwhelming and I will be looking elsewhere.

I would leave zero stars if I could. Stay away from this place at all costs. Find a therapist elsewhere! Don't believe me?... check the google reviews....33 reviews and 21 of them are 1 stars and 1 being a 2 star. That should tell you something. The receptionist staff has no idea what they are doing. they are disorganized, rude, and impatient and act annoyed with you....and they work in the mental health business for god's sake...most of their patients could probably really use some kindness. They never answer the phone, when they do get back to you their voicemails are vague and do not answer the questions asked. The messed up my appointment, did not have my EAP information ready and wasted my time. It was made clear to me that this clinic values money over the care of their patients. I will never be returning and I would warn everyone against ever going here.

Dr. Cappo was great. My son received full testing here. HOWEVER, the office neglected to send the reports as asked. Why else would we have gone if my son's doctors and I could not receive the results? The office (finally) sent me a hard copy letter of the findings by mail. I assumed the office sent two other letters at the same time to my son's other specialists as previously arranged. Nearly a full 3 weeks later and after repeated phone calls, everyone has what they need. Note that one doctor received only 4 pages of 6 so I had to scan and supply the other 2. A CA medical records employee told me that either medical records or dictation tried to fax the letter to both doctors' offices. After 4 attempts and failures by fax, they claim they sent letters. No letters were ever received and I doubt they were really sent. Very disappointed as this has put my son's treatment behind by over 2 weeks (4 sessions).
