She saved my life when others had abandoned me, she offered alternative treatment options when primary ones didn't work out for me, she's went the distance and helped me basically turn my entire life around... I had to put in the effort, work and self education too of course but without her guidance & compassion, I truly doubt I would be alive today to type these words. I would and do wholeheartedly recommend Bridget as a NP and primary care practitioner.

Dr. Van Treese was very kind and informative regarding trans care and hormone therapy. I saw where someone had mentioned her as awkward once, and I can add that she is very serious most of the time. I think this is particularly because she understands how serious this form of care is. During my appointment, she discussed many different aspects of each medication, the good and the bad of the overall effects and things I can do to ensure a successful transition. She also provided many assisting resources regarding laser and surgeries. When I left her office, I left more confident and well informed I was very thankful to have her as my doctor!

While caring for transgender people is supposed to be one of Bridget’s specialties, she always seemed uncomfortable and awkward when talking about my gender with me. She did not know enough about HRT to answer all of my questions (for example, about sex). As a patient, I felt undervalued and insulted during my appointments. She had to visibly stop herself from saying “opposite sex” when she meant “cisgender” on at least one occasion. She also once referred to my genitalia as “the parts.” Lastly, she has poor communication skills. She would frequently forget to send me documents that she said she would, was not clear about appointment times, and didn’t explain lab results to me.
