I had established a deep TRUST with Bonnie, not easily won by someone with complexPTSD. I was in a toxic marriage with a new baby when she began bringing my husband in for sessions. She was counseling us to stay together when she should have been guiding me to see that he was a narcissistic sociopath who was retraumatizing me. She spoke often about BPD, which I never identified with or was diagnosed. She stopped seeing me after allowing him to phone her as an ally amidst the scenes that would erupt, and then began seeing him and even gave him a book on BPD, further fueling his attempts to prove ME as the crazy one, placing both me and my child in danger. A complete psychiatric break would follow as I spent 6 more years trapped in an abusive marriage that she should have helped me escape, but instead wound up enabling, causing a deeper level of Complex PTSD I am still digging my way out of, nearly 20 years later. I attempted to reach out for apology with no response. I trusted her.
