I could go into deep detail, but I don't wanna give myself away. It's been decades since I've had a primary care provider and I had to get my life together. Breathing has become too difficult and this person diagnosed me with asthma after disregarding my medical history of being a regular runner and industrial athlete. I'm former Navy, too, which they would have caught, if asthma was my issue. This provider ignored my pleas of my nose being the issue, that I've become a mouth breather, that masks labored my breathing and caused prolonged headaches, but she ignored it. Gave me inhalers, which made no difference in my breathing, even made things worse by making me cough after using them and throughout the day.
After a couple of months of trial and error, mostly from her brushing off my symptoms, she begrudgingly did a CT of my face, where she concluded a "normal" scan. I then took a couple more tries to convince her to get me a stupid referral to an ENT. At this point, it's been 10 months of worsening symptoms. The ENT provider was absolutely fantastic, she caught a deviated septum, nasal valve collapse and swollen turbinates that basically were all effectively plugging my nose. It couldn't drain my sinuses so I had chronic sinus infections I didn't know about. I don't feel pain the same as other, so the ENT was shocked I was ok! She scheduled me with a doctor because I required surgery.
Beverly Brown took several months of ignoring my issues. She dismissed my symptoms at every turn, to the point I had to find a way to convince her to provide care. The surgery went so well that my IBS symptoms have subsided. My breathing has made a full turn around, no thanks in any way to this provider. Even after getting the CT, Beverly saw one thing, and the specialist saw a completely different thing. Beverly was the double-down type, even when she is wrong, and maybe that's fine behavior as a nurse, but as a Nurse Practitioner???? Clinical settings can be stressful enough, but denying diagnoses without any consideration could be dangerous. I'm just glad I was there quality of life changes, not something life-threatening. I don't trust Beverly Brown with either.

Total disappointment. Incompetent, lacks efficiency, and non caring. Seems like Beverly Brown, NP did not take the job seriously as a medical professional should.
