I had been put on an extreme ketogenic diet for a few months by a neurologist in attempts to treat my epilepsy (which rendered no health benefits). When I switched back to a regular carbohydrate-burning diet without proper guidance from that MD, I experienced chronic diarrhea for about 1.5 years. No MDs I saw helped me with their suggested remedies. The so-called GI experts I saw were so desperate to make a suggestion (or, not really TRYING to analyze in the first place) that I even got sent for a colonoscopy at age 26 (which rendered no insight whatsoever . . . except for my finally understanding all the late-night comedy jokes about why colonoscopies are awful)! I was afraid I had another chronic issue. Finally, I found Dr. Bernie Bayard, who helped me get my GI system back on track with his well-explained blueprint of a supplemental regimen. Always a good listener. Most knowledgeable. I received excellent service from the whole office every time I visited for the span of 8 years.
