Ben Barnes is highly knowledgeable and up to date with latest treatments. He suggested a new medicine for dealing with my back problems (spinal stenosis and severe arthritis )which has been amazingly effective. He also looks beyond a specific complaint, and reviews the patient's overall record, Checking up on other problem areas and making recommendations to other specialists when appropriate.

This doctor had the audacity to push down on my surgery incision when I was Less than 6 weeks out from an exploratory open groin surgery in which part of hernia mesh was removed and a new mesh was placed (Aug 28) this was a second surgery in exact spot as prior repair (2011). The amount of inflammation from mesh was still terrible. Not to mention the nerve pain/damage that Occurred before after surgery. Surgeon explained part of mesh had wrinkled(he used word accordion) I saw Benjamin Barnes on Oct. 6. He probably didn’t like that I refused to have a CT or x rays b/c I had already forced my surgeon to do them not long before and results looked normal. Didn’t like that I was honest and explained to him that I couldn’t get through to my surgeon to prescribe more opioids before weekend. It’s a shame that the abuse leaves people in legitimate debilitating/ agonizing pain having to beg. I have considerable nerve pain yet any doctor here has been able to refer me to the proper specialist.
