Dr. Barton Powell, OD

Dr. Powell was very professional upfront about what I needed. He discussed options available to me for glasses and was not trying to upsell anything and was actually very frank about stuff that was unnecessary when it came to lenses. The staff however, was lackluster and at times down right unwelcoming. Started off with them seeming surprised that I was even there for my first appointment ever with them. Weird because I made the appointment and did paperwork and gave info over the phone before even coming in. Then when it came time to get glasses the tech was very nice and spent the time to pick out something that fit well. Had to make another appointment later on and I ended up missing it due to my own oversight but also because this office does not do any reminders whatsoever. No calling to confirm or reschedule. Then the new glasses fit, treated like I was bothering them each time I had to come in to get them adjusted. Very disappointing to say the least.

Dr. Powell is really good. He explained what my problem was and treated it with a sample he had and gave me a prescription for drops to use going forward. His staff was friendly and helpful to me. Highly recommend this clinic.

Dr. Bart Powell is pushy, rude, argumentative and doesn’t listen to his patients. I saw him once for an eye exam and I will NEVER go back.

Great doctor - efficient, intelligent. The office staff are hit or miss, but the last time I was there was over a year ago. I needed to make a quick apt and scheduled with another office in town and had a terrible experience. Wish I could have a do-over with Dr. Powell - he's the best!

Excellent doctor. If you are looking for a doctor that will TAKE TIME to discuss treatment with you, this is your guy. He found some weird things with one of my eyes and called me every day until I scheduled an appointment with a specialist. I paid extra for the service where they can see 200% of the interior of the eye than with dilating and he found a cataract that was not visible via the 40% with traditional dilation. Highly recommended!

Very informative and knowledgeable

I am very satisfied with having Dr. Powell as my 9 year old Daughters Eye Doctor. Both Doctor Powell and his entire staff are very friendly and professional as well . Doctor Powell is very patient and he always does a very thorough examination. I absolutely recommend him to others??
