Profit driven
My experience with Dr. Slone was that he seemed to prioritize profit over patient care.I visited Dr. Slone for a self-assessment after being accused by my ex-husband of having a personality disorder. However, the assessment process was lengthy, lasting over 20 hours, and each session cost $300 per hour. Eventually, Dr. Slone informed me that I did not have any personality disorder but instead tried to convince me that I had certain personality traits. It was only when I requested to see my test results from the testing center that it became evident Dr. Slone was attempting to persuade me of issues that I did not actually have.Overall, I found Dr. Slone's conduct to be unethical and unprofessional during my interactions with him.

Advertises that he takes insurance on all of the sites he has and is on the insurance's website but doesn't take insurance "due to covid". Free marketing for him but misleading for all potential customers trying to spend time/effort to make contact only to find out he's only working with "cash" patients and can give a superbill.

I suffer with anxiety and I'm the sole provider for my small children and wife who has a major illness. I am also surviving one of the worse imaginable things for a person....death of a child. Life is precious and I want to live happily and be grateful for what I have. That's why I took the step toward counseling. I began seeing Dr. Barry Slone a few months ago and highly recommend him. Since seeing Dr. Slone, I began feeling better inside which is reflected on the outside in the home and at work. He has a unique way of listening and helping you craft a strategy that you buy into. The sessions are conversational and even fun at times. In addition to the tangibles that Dr. Slone has, I also leave my sessions feeling uplifted and inspired to handle the anxiety and focus on the bright side of life. I don't think that is typical.

Excellent, my instincts tell me he knows what he is doing and that he has much experience in helping me sort myself out. He gets straight to the point, I’m aware it takes up to two years to sort myself out, Dr Slone is an excellent guide for that.
