Dr. Barbara Pittaras, OD

Dr. Pittaras is absolutely wonderful to work with and is a top tier professional. We have seen her for 5 years and wish we would have found her many years prior. A top notch Doctor that helped my childs future. My child has sensory disturbance issues and gets overwhelmed very easily. After many conversations we finally convinced her to have an eye exam. Dr. Pittaras was wonderful and my child was very comfortable. Any parent that has a child dealing with sensory and/or autism spectrum disorders understands how quickly things can get escalated when your child is not at ease. Thanks to Dr. Pittaras and how calming she was the exam went amazing! Also, due to her exam we found out that our child has a rare eye disorder that has been causing problems with her learning. As parents we were so saddened to find this out and how hard it has been for her to deal with this. With all of these wonderful attributes about Dr. Pittaras these are the reasons we will never go anywhere else!

The doctor is just incredible and the equipment is very high-tech, making this absolutely the best eye exam I have ever had in my life! No exaggeration, I didn't even know some of these tests existed before. I had the extra full eye scan that was offered and was amazed at the results. I really appreciated how the Dr. spent the time to review everything with me in detail and answer all my questions. She is so caring, engaging, and approachable, you can tell that she really enjoys her work!

Amazing experience! Office is equipped with state of the art testing machines and the doctor took her time and explained everything in a way that was understandable. Selection of glasses is modern and stylish, there were plenty of options. Overall very happy that I found this office.

Smart, decent work ethic, and usually competent; but very pushy & opinionated; Seems like she's too concerned with selling products (expensive designer eye wear, for example) than paying attention to average customers' needs or practicing responsible medicine. Misdiagnosed my eye condition--I had to go to an ophthalmologist for proper treatment.

HORRID. The doctor/office staff did not seem to care whether we were satisfied with our care or not. When glasses came in, there was an obvious flaw with the frame--a gap between the frame and lens on one side. When I pointed out this flaw they tried several times to convince me that the flaw would not affect how the glasses worked. Also Dr. Pittaras' manner was short, defensive, and condescending upon a return visit when I had a problem with the glasses prescription she had written.
