Dr. Barbara McDougall, PSY.D

This review is not about Dr. McDougall, but her assistant Denise. I tried to schedule for my daughter, she asked my insurance, and before finding out my plan told me I would need a referral (which I have - it is how I got her name). When I tried to explain my insurance doesn't require it, she became belligerent and argued with me. When I asked if it was for her office benefit or the insurance, she said it was for mine. She kept talking over me, was not listening at all to what I was saying. To be clear: if her office required one, I was willing to call my pediatrician and go through the extra step of having them send it over as it was a conversation I had already had with them. My insurance plan does not require me to have a specialist referral, and I go see specialists without the formal referral to make it easier and faster for all parties involved. 5he rudeness from the office manager Denise is why I am choosing to go elsewhere.
