Autum Caldwell, PA-C

I have been seeing Autum for 7-8 years for my dermatology needs. I live in Oklahoma City, OK area and drive to Tulsa to see her. I have visited many other dermatologists over the years, but none as thorough as her. Approx. 6-7 years ago she found a spot on my back which ended up being melanoma. I continue to come to her because I can count on getting the best care available.

I’m frustrated that I was assigned to AC. She tries, but... I wish she’d move me to one of the MDs, but I haven’t asked because I don’t want to be labeled a troublemaker. It feels like they don’t want to deal with me or my case. Her assistants… well, they don’t feel like medical staff—perhaps better suited for the spa side? Or maybe this whole practice isn’t for those with true medical issues? It’s nigh impossible to get anyone via phone and they don’t have a functioning portal. I’m feeling hopeless about my condition but have given up on getting help beyond routine exams like mole checks. Though I’m sure they’ll be thrilled to help if I happen to need anti-aging skincare or hair growth supplements. Depressing.

TERRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER AND DEF DOES INSURANCE SHAMING!

During my visit both Autum and her nurse were more concerned about the extra paper with Sooner Care insurance and how I used to pay at a different clinic that doesn’t take Sooner Care, than they were about my psoriasis. She didn’t even ask to look at it until I said “well do you want to see it?” After telling her that I am taking a shot monthly, she and her nurse were more concerned about how “they” were going to get Sooner Care to cover the shot! THEY ALREADY COVER IT! was there for additional treatment!!!!!! Both were so very rude. When I finally left I sat in my car and cried for the way she and her nurse shamed me for being on Sooner Care. They don’t know my story! I will never return.

Autum is very through.

Ms. Caldwell has gone above and beyond to help me with my alopecia. Even coordinating care with a specialist out of state. I am grateful for her help and highly recommend her.

I saw Autumn a few years ago mainly for my acne. I also brought up the concern that my hair was thinning and I was losing what seemed to be a lot of hair every time I showered or brushed my hair. This had been going on for several years. She told me it was normal to lose hair and did not examine my scalp. I did not feel at ease but chose to believe her since she was the professional. I went to another dermatologist 3 years later for the same issue: acne and hair thinning. The dermatologist I saw there did a biopsy and told me I had CCCA, a type of alopecia but all they saw was scarring brom my biopsy which meant no new hair follicles could grow in that area. I am pissed that I could have gotten treatment years ago and could have prevented some of the scarring on my scalp had Autumn listened. I am now hoping with the treatment from the dermatologist that I see now that I will have some hair growth despite the scarring.

Very knowledgeable and courteous

My sister, Katelyn York and I were new patients. She didn't read are charts before she came in to the room. She was in a hurry to get us in and out of there and at the end of the appointment she asked so what do you want to do. She is the doctor, so you would think she would have a medical decision. She also wanted to put me on Accutane which I have already been on 3 times and is very dangerous. She was not helpful in any way. I would never return.
