Angelique Poncelet, LPC

I have worked with several quality therapists in the past prior to moving to UT. When I moved to UT, I was introduced to Angelique’s practice and scheduled a session with her. Within the first 15 minutes of chatting with her, it was clear that she could understand my perspectives and challenges better than any therapist I had previously worked with. She has assisted me through multiple “sticky points” in life, each time educating me on the neurophysiology behind what I was experiencing and also providing clear, concise strategies that empowered me to effectively manage my mental health during life’s highs and lows. Angelique is never judgmental, always thoughtful. She constantly creates a safe space for self curiosity and exploration. I cannot recommend Angelique highly enough.

I went to Angelique to deal with the aftermath of a personal tragedy. I had been holding a lot of feelings inside for a few years, and I wanted to try EMDR. She skillfully and empathetically led me through several sessions in which I dealt with different aspects of my trauma to the point where I now feel like I am in a completely different place. I can think and talk about my experience from a place of healing. I was so impressed with her ability to help me hone in on specific thoughts/feelings and deal with them, and I was so grateful for her kindness and support during the process. I highly recommend her.

She decided to decrease visit frequency. When I asked about options, she became angry and hostile. She later called to apologize. However, she again became angry when I asked about options. I believes she wanted me to stop therapy with her. Perhaps because my insurance did not reimburse at as high a rate as new patients. It is very difficult to be the recipient of such mean spirited behavior from a therapist.

Angelique is a fantastic counselor. I saw her for three years after the death of my Dad. She helped me work through grief, related anxiety and provided the tools to help me move forward with my life in a healthy way. She has since helped me successful navigate other relationships and difficulties in life. She is knowledgeable, organized and professional. I am very grateful for her help during a critical time in my life. I am a happier and healthier person as a result.

After working with Angelique, my spouse felt that I made more progress than with any other therapist. I’d used CBT therapy for quite a few years with a number of other therapists. I found Angelique to be extremely empathetic, yet she found kind ways to help me challenge my prior thoughts and preconceptions. She was warm yet skilled at maintaining a professional relationship throughout my therapy.

Angelique was wonderful, I needed help from a very different perspective. I was looking for an EMDR specialist and she agreed to help. She was very good at helping me establish a pace for my own recovery. I was able to get through some rough things with her guidance and understanding.

Throughout life we receive guidance, mentorship and help from our parents, coaches, and perhaps an advisory board if we are in business. Life will throw us curve balls, which is why it's so important to choose a "life coach" that can inspire the hope and self confidence that allows us to hit the ball out of the park everyday. Angelique's guidance, during some of the most daunting times in my life, has helped me to see the way that has reignited my happiness and zest for life.

Angelique helped my husband and I work through a difficult time. She is extremely attentive, extremely inciteful, and she helped us immensely. She made We always left relieved and had fulfilling and engaging discussions after our sessions with her. We felt very comfortable with Angelique and would recommend her without hesitation.

Angelique is highly recommended by other healthcare professionals in our valley and I really like her. Always kind, attentive, and concerned with my well-being I'm making a lot more progress than I did with previous therapists. She seems very up to date in her field and knows how to adapt therapies to best suit my own personal needs and goals. Angelique Poncelet is caring, trustworthy and compassionate. She treats each of her patients with care and support in a way that is comforting. She is able to guide them through a difficult process while allowing them to accept themselves and begin to heal from their symptoms. I reccomend Angelique to all of my friends and family. Angelique is an talented therapist. She is so sensitive and skilled with EMDR and other techniques. She doesn't just use one technique, but constantly evaluates your needs and does what applies to your current needs and state of mind. I found it to be the most effective therapy I've had.

Love my time with Angelique! She is very professional, but she is relatable and real. She offers great advice and gives reasonable "homework" that helps my relationships.
