I came into my visit with a lot of fear. She took so much time to talk to me about my condition that I became much more comfortable. She was an astute listener. She had requested records pertaining to me prior to my visit. She was aware of my meds. She assured me that mine was not an unknown problem, and there were a variety of approaches that can be used in helping with my afib. She stressed several times that this was a partnership designed to get me on the road to better health. She was also firm about the need for a plan, for tests, and for measurable goals that would keep me on the right track. I'm not sure what I expected from my first visit to a specialist, but she was very "together", kind, and knowledgeable. I've told everyone in my circle what a great experience I had, and I'm looking forward to getting the tests in that she's ordered.
