Andrea Sparks

I do NOT recommend Andrea Sparks. The reason I sought counseling with Andrea was for a present day situation causing anxiety. Beware if she tries to use the tactic of healing the child within and or pulling stuff up from your past that doesnt need to be brought up. If not done appropriately in a safe environment (such as with EMDR) this methodology can be very dangerous and can cause a great deal of harm to the individual. Going over traumatic things from my past that she encouraged me to do was destructive. She had me write a lengthy letter from my inner child and then from my adult self looking back to my young self. She had me repeat this tactic over 2 month period and to tell as many people as I can until Im no longer anxious. This caused me to be fearful to leave my house. I had to see another therapist to recover from agoraphobia brought on by Andreas counseling methodology. It has taken over 1.5 years with a new therapist to undo the harm that Andrea has caused me.
