Compassionate and brilliant healer
Dr. Duchesneau changed the course of my life. It wasn't a simple, easy, quick fix, it wasn't a series of pep talks, it was a deep dive into my earliest experiences and learned defenses, a careful and compassionate examination of the masks I'd worn to hide from myself, and a gentle & precise process of allowing my true self to emerge. I walked into her office an emotionally isolated and deeply depressed paralegal; I'm now a happily married father of three and a successful screenwriter. I attribute this transformation to the work I did with Dr. Duchesneau.

This woman (Andre Duchesneau) left me completely retraumatized. She made me repeat my traumatic experiences over 5 times because she doesn't listen, nor does she seem to have empathy - which is why she questions everything over and over. I let her office in Beverly Hills more stressed, more anxious and feeling completely humiliated. I went to her for EMDR. When I left I was so broken I had to immediately call my therapist to repair the damage she had done. She is also very unprofessional in how she conducts her practice. I never write reviews but I hope this prevents any more emotional and psychological damage from happening to anyone else.

My experience with Dr Duchesneau was probably the worst experience with a therapist I have ever had. I left feeling so much worse than I had going in. I think she set me back about six months in my recovery for an eating disorder. I don’t know how she is as a marriage counselor but she should never be left alone with a person suffering from an eating disorder. I found her comments to be completely insensitive and ignorant. I felt as though she must have never met a person with an eating disorder no less an expert in the area as she has advertised. Dr Duchesneau, a person does not have to weigh less than 90lbs and have their hair falling out to be suffering from an eating disorder. Read up on subject before you claim to be an expert in the field.

Dr. Duchesneau seems to really love the work she does and is very knowledgeable and compassionate. She has a real passion for people and for what she does and readily makes herself available. I've experienced a lot of personal growth with her guidance. I wasn't sure if she was a great match for me at first, but I'm glad I gave it some time to see that she was.
