Amy Walker, PA

I am so happy to have Dr. Amy Walker as my doctor. She has been absolutely wonderful. She takes the time to explain things, listens to my questions and is a very caring person. She even checks on me at different times to see how I’m doing. I’ve never had a doctor that cared so much about her patient. I wish I had her as my other doctors. She is truly one of a kind.

Dr. Walker is the most thorough doctor I’ve encountered. She takes time to ask questions and listens to all of my questions and concerns. The first time I saw her I left feeling relieved after finally finding a doctor who truly wanted to help me get to the root of my longstanding problems. She follows up after appointments and makes herself available outside of just your appointment time. An all around great doctor who also has a great nurse who gets things done, returns calls promptly, and answers any of your questions! The most reassuring experience with a doctor I’ve ever had!

Amy is extremely thorough, intelligent, kind and easy to talk to about my medical problems. She respects my base knowledge in medicine and talks to me on my level. I appreciate that so much! At my last appointment, I had a lot of things going on, and she was swamped. However, she spent all the time with me that I needed. I feel very confident in her care.

Amy Walker is absolutely amazing!! She took her time with me at my first appointment and answered all my questions and concerns. When my blood work came in she throughly explained everything and even asked for previous lab results from years past to try to get down to the root of my medical issues. I am extremely impressed with her and her staff and HIGHLY recommend her!!

I have been lucky enough to be treated by Amy Walker for the last couple of years. I’ve had JRA for 20 years and she has been the most attentive, understanding, and personable physician I have seen. I have been really struggling with my disease flaring in the last couple months and she has given me so much hope when I can’t find it myself. I’ve reached out to her on multiple occasions for suggestions or answers to questions I had and have always gotten a timely response. (A large portion of those I know are after her office hours.) I think it’s rare to find someone who has a genuine care and integrity for their work like she does. Her actions show it. I HIGHLY recommend!

If it was possible to leave a NEGATIVE review of Amy Walker, PA from McBride- Rheumatology, I would. She's surly, rude, and has ZERO compassion/understanding. The first time I saw her with Lindsey Gillespie, PA - My DH took a job in TX. My Neurontin needed to be refilled 8/8/16. SHE REFUSED! Said if i no return-No refill. Maybe I should've lied. She left me crying, sitting in the exam room, after 15mins I walked out. She WATCHED me leave & said NOTHING- NO CALL FROM ANYONE!
