Amy Sykes, LCPC

I was a client of Amy's for 6 years. She was a source of consistency and care throughout many medications, doctors, partners, apartments, and jobs. She always saw the best in me and encouraged me through many big and small moments over the years. She may not have always understood where I was coming from, but I never felt unsafe or unwanted. I'm very proud of the growth I've managed while seeing her. I'm leaving her care to find a provider with more experience with my specific identities, but I highly recommend Amy as a therapist, especially to those starting out on their mental health journeys.

I was treating with Amy since I was 12 and she was truly a great therapist. I stopped coming for months because I had some serious life changes and tried to schedule an appointment and could never get one again. Not really sure why.

Amy has been incredible. She was my first experience (and only experience) with a therapist. I had weekly visits with her for about a year. She really helped me build a foundation for a healthier me.

Amy has provided excellent quality counseling. She is very grounded, patient, perceptive, honest, kind, and clear in her role as a counselor/therapist. I trust her understanding of me and perception of my issues. She provides a warm, professional, welcoming place to work through difficult problems. Her approach is straight forward but is able to provide creative perspective. I consider Amy a touchstone that has helped lift me to a new place in my life and who continues to be a reliable resource.
