My experience with Amy was incredibly disappointing. Rather than fostering open, balanced communication, I felt dismissed and unheard. When I raised concerns about dishonesty in my marriage, the therapist ignored clear contradictions, sided with my spouse, and minimized the issue.What was most troubling was the double standard applied—my concerns were brushed off, while my spouse’s actions were defended. When I became overwhelmed and broke down emotionally, instead of acknowledging my distress, the conversation was redirected to my medication, as if my reaction was the issue rather than what had unfolded in the session.A couples therapist should hold both partners accountable, not reinforce unhealthy dynamics. Instead of leaving with clarity or resolution, I left feeling invalidated and blamed. If you’re looking for fair, unbiased, and constructive therapy, I would strongly recommend seeking help elsewhere.

Maybe we got her on a couple “off days”, but the couple sessions we had with her, she was really unkind and patronizing. I thought it was just me being sensitive, but I shared our interactions with my own therapist and she agreed with my assessment.
