Ambika Puliyakote, RPT

I worked with Ambi ~3 months / 23 physical therapy sessions after being hit by a vehicle as a pedestrian. She is an extremely positive and good-hearted person who works diligently to improve her patients. She improved my posture, shoulder strength, balance and mobility / range of motion with a solid exercise plan that evolved to match my physical improvement. I observed her on several occasions helping others (other patients & coworkers) out of kindness. Her care for people is authentic. I recommend Ambi as a therapist. She is professional, knowledgeable and an effective PT. She will help your body heal and recover.

I worked with Ambi for Pelvic Floor therapy (due to Pregnancy). I followed Ambi from the Royal Oak location to Troy, and then to West Bloomfield (since I moved closer to here) to finish my program with her because she is amazing. Ambi is very knowledgeable, professional, caring, kind, and has a fun personality. She is very detailed in explaining how all the muscle groups work together and explains it in terms anyone without a medical degree can understand. I highly recommend Ambi.

Ambi has treated my daughter through her ACL/Meniscus injury and did an outstanding job. She made my daughter very comfortable and gave her utmost personal attention she needed. She has thorough knowledge in her field and explains the therapy in details. I definitely recommend her!

She has a lot of experience in her field, and works hard at adapting the various physical routines to the individual needs of each client. Ambi is an awesome provider. She takes her patients care seriously. Ambi is very thorough in explaining techniques for exercises to best benefit me as a patient. In addition, her knowledge of how the different muscles work together, one taking over when the other is exhausted, helped me better understand why I need to do certain exercises to help strengthen the weak areas. I would highly recommend Ambi.

Ambi is great, she definitely is knowledgeable and is very easy to talk to. She makes sure to check in with you frequently to make sure the PT is working for you and makes adjustments as needed. I highly recommend her as a physical therapist!

I have worked with many physical therapists in my life and Ambi is by far the best. After living in pain for years she has reduced my pain level to almost nothing. Her techniques are amazing and she goes above and beyond to help her patients. She works at Athletico in Bloomfield Hills. It is a very friendly and comfortable environment.

I love my PT. She is amazing! She takes her time as we work together to improve from my injury. Iv improved drastically within a few visits. She goes the extra mile and cares about her patients. I highly recommend her if you are in need of a great PT.

Ambi has been fantastic in helping me recover after a hip replacement. After just 2 months of PT (once a week due to my schedule), I have 100% range of motion back and 90% of strength. It's great she's available in the Bloomfield Hills Athletico location also.

I cannot speak highly enough of Ambika Puliyakote (Ambi). Ambi was friendly, kind, and a true professional. I worked with Ambi for a few months and she literally changed my life. She is an expert at what she does. From the very first visit where I was evaluated, to the very last, she guided my progress and helped me recover to full strength. She was always incredibly thorough, changing my treatment plan as I progressed. She would add in exercises and always explain how to do them. Ambi also demonstrated each thing to me as she introduced it. I cannot recommend Ambi enough! I will actually miss going to physical therapy because of her, now that my treatment is done. How many people can say that?

I am so grateful for having Ambika Puliyakote (Ambi) as my Physical Therapist at Athletico. From her initial evaluation of the cause of my back pain and stiffness , problems with balance and general lack of overall muscle tone, through an intense exercise and therapeutic program that she designed to relieve my back pain, improve my balance and strengthen my muscles, I now feel so much stronger, healthier and happy to not have the back pain and stiffness. I will continue to benefit from Ambi’s knowledge and dedication and will work the exercise program Ambi developed for me long after I finish physical therapy at Athletico. Thank you so much Ambi ! My father and I both visited Ambi for physical therapy for many weeks, and absolutely loved her. Highly recommend! She is extremely kind, along with knowledgeable and dedicated to each of her patients. She gives proper attention and detail to every concern that her patients have, and ensures that the patient understands everything that needs to be done and why. She also makes physical therapy fun! 10/10

Ambika is an excellent therapist. She has magic in her hands. I went to her with chronic pain due to my back and neck issues. She did some careful manual intervention and had me run through some exercises that provided immediate relief. I noticed that her passion for healing people is admirable. She gives her 100% to every patient and ensures they are guided properly. I highly recommend her. She is well trained and dedicated to her work

Ambi is great. She's really helped with my lower back pain and improving my posture. She listens to your concerns and adjusts your treatment plan. I really can't say enough good things. This is my second time doing physical therapy and I feel way more cared for and trust Ambi vs the previous PT.

I didn’t particularly care for her treatment plan. She didn’t seem knowledgeable and very scattered brain.

I can't say enough good things about Ambi. She is incredibly professional and focused. I was placed with Ambi for my back pain with underlying multiple sclerosis pain. I went from some extreme pain to more manageable. I learned a lot from her.
