After one intake appt and 3 appts, Amanda DaFoe decided to tell me initially that she could not accomodate my schedule change due to a work conflict. But then also told me 'I've been struggling to stay on top of a lot of things and I'm feeling like it would not be fair to try to force myself to keep going at this pace. You deserve someone who can be fully present. I had planned on discussing with you at our session but your request was important and needed immediate attention now.'On my intake appt., she disclosed that she has time management issues and that a client of hers left her due to that. She also disclosed that she had 2 other clients who were feeling 'stuck' and were planning on looking for another therapist. She disclosed some other personal issues she was struggling with, which I did not need to know during my intake appt. I feel her behavior and treatment to be unreliable, over-disclosure and extremely unprofessional. As a therapist, she needs to do better than this.
