Amanda Boyd, CRNP

My first meeting with her, she was very rude. She didn't listen to me about how at that time, my current medication was helping me. She took me off of one of the medicines that helped me cope with anxiety during the day. Now I can't even drive to work. I don't understand why I have to see her and a psychiatrist to fill any prescriptions. She's a psychologist. Normally, they don't fill prescriptions. I don't have a therapist. I have to go to the other side of town to the the psychiatrist. In which someone has to take me there. Then she told me if I cancel services, I would have to pay in full. Even if I haven't seen her. She's very rude and disrespectful from day one thati met her.

If you could leave a no star review that’s what she would have earned. My husband has been seeing her for about six months. She has never truly seemed to listen but it only got worse every appointment. She is rude and unprofessional. You would have a better chance at getting your medicine right with a spin the wheel game than seeking her help. She (or her receptionist) has rescheduled a few of his appointments with only one actually having a reason and normally that wouldn’t be a big deal except she doesn’t fix your medication refills when she moves your appointment dates so then medication runs out and the pharmacy sends a refill request and she admitted to having it set up to automatically deny refill requests. So then you have to call and hope she’s there. She does not listen to concerns about medication reactions and even when a medicine has been tried for months says you just need to give it time. Then told my husband that he just needs to see someone else if he doesn’t trust her.

Mrs. Boyd is incredible. She's an attentive listener and works very closely with me to make sure I'm receiving the best possible treatment. I also needed official documentation for school and she was very quick to provide it, as well. She can sometimes be difficult to reach, but she calls back at her earliest convenience and gets the situation handled.

My impression of Amanda Boyd after one meeting is that she's cold and different and adversarial, she treated me like I was a criminal or almost like she was treating me as a as if I was a drug addict. she did not help me at all and she canceled our first meeting. the clinic did not call me and let me know she canceled, I drove 45 minutes to get there for them to tell me that it would another month before I got to finally meet her.
