Highly Recommend
Dr. Hill has worked with me and stuck by me over the past 4 years of my life which have included uncovering a previously undiagnosed mental health condition. She is highly knowledgeable and skilled at getting to the root of some painful self-discovery - but at the same time very empathetic. She continues to help me every session and I would highly recommend her.

Making some progress
She would have to be a miracle worker to help with almost 2 decades of conflict with my ex-spouse who has his best interests at heart and not necessarily our children's and doesn't even see it. 2 total strangers to her and both telling completely different versions of the family dynamics. I don't know how she is supposed to see through all the lies and character assassinations, but at least it seems like she's trying to put all that aside and help us figure out how to move forward.

Highly unprofessional, biased, terrible experience
Very bad experience with her. Highly unprofessional on our first visit (cursed, gossiped about a judge in Fulton County) but was at least somewhat compassionate and seemed to understand my perspective. On the next visit, she did a complete 180 and yelled at me for stating my perspective. I definitely felt like she had preconceived notions and biases that had no place in our session or were even relevant to what we were seeing her for. She didn't come across as someone wanting to help us - she came off as arrogant, condescending, and just wanted to choose a side, dig her heels in, and lecture on her preconceived notions! I've worked with 5 other counselors in a 12 year time period and she is the most unprofessional, immature, and reactionary counselor by far. I absolutely would not recommend her to anyone for any kind of "help". Her demeanor was hostile, not compassionate or remotely helpful. Her emotional reactions were surprising and unprofessional.

Dr. Hill has been a part of saving my life - I have worked with her for over 2 years. She is skilled on my levels as a PHD - but also has the level of personal empathy and practical life experience that has proven extremely valuable to me as a part of my overall wellness team. I would highly recommend her to anyone - and I consider myself a very tough critic.

Dr. Hill was recommended to me by a friend (and Emory psychologist) while I was dealing with some generalized anxiety and depression related to work. I found Dr. Hill to be very professional, empathetic and, most importantly, effective. I have recommended her to several friends who have had similarly positive experiences. Despite having successfully dealt with my anxiety and depression episode, I continue to see Dr. Hill once a month to maintain the balance she helped me achieve.

I was referred to Dr. Hill for help with a painful family situation. She was so great. She helped me see the situation in a different light and empowered me to take action I wasn't able to do without her help. In so doing, my family and I are finally on the path to healing! I also want to add that Dr. Hill is highly regarded in the legal community as an expert in her field. And I believe she is worthy of that recognition.

In the paperwork of our custody agreement we had it written in that my daughter’s mother and I would attend at least six sessions with Dr. Hill. Neither of us was entirely thrilled about the idea per se but we knew we needed to work together better for our little girl.Dr. Hill quickly established our respect and slowly gained our trust. I am by no means a expert or even terribly knowledgeable of the psychology field and of coparenting therapy. We signed up for six visits. Dr. Hill was so helpful in getting us aligned as coparents and helping us to get on more stable ground to provide a better lifefor our daughter that we must have visited with her over 50 times. With no hyperbole at all I can tell you she has been one of the most important people in our families lives in the last six years. If you just want to be right I don’t suggest you go visit her. However if you want to learn how to be more empathetic and understanding while working with your coparent she’s your Doctor.

Unprofessional, unethical, follows the money, causes conflict and damage to families in order to stir the pot and bill more hours, hijacks cases and holds them hostage so that she can get more money. The only positive reviews you will find are from those who were able to successfully BUY a favorable recommendation from this awful woman. Have you seen the movie “I Care A Lot?” If the movie dealt with the subject area of child custody as opposed to elderly conservatorship custody, Allison would fit that description to a tee. A judge in Fulton County actually remarked in open court that she did not like to use Allison because of her well-known bias. Hopefully, it’s only a matter of time before this sentiment is held by everyone in the court system. I’ll be surprised if she isn’t found incompetent or face serious bar complaints and/or a lawsuit soon.

Dr. Hill saw my son as a result of my divorce process. My Ex had decided to leave the marital home and take our two sons. Not knowing what it involved to raise children, my Ex thought it would benefit his case to take my younger son, then 15, to see Dr Hill. So, I requested to go see Dr. Hill so I could understand her purpose and process. She told me that my son's father was doing a, "GREAT JOB" even though he had not been requiring the 15 year old to go to school! I'm certain her children are attending school. I attribute her lack of concern in regards to my child's education the catalyst to my son's outlook on education and further spiral of what was left of my family. This woman should have her license revoked!!!

If I could give her a -10 I would. Allison was appointed to be our child’s guardian ad litem in our custody case. We filed due to obvious “parental alienation” occurring from the biological mother and her family. We only saw terrible reviews on Allison after she was appointed. She only cares about the monetary gains in cases. She no showed on our appointments, charged fees while on maternity leave, interviewed not a single witness who actually witnessed our parenting. We paid her $12,500.00 with an additional $5,000.00 bill she tacked on. The average fees for a GAL are around $3,500.00! She is a money hungry, pompous, non professional, bias, incompetent, lazy and unethical person whom should NEVER be allowed to perform these duties. She never cared about best interest of our child. Her sole focus was being paid and committing malfeasance. BEWARE! I would NEVER agree to this “guardian ad listen” in any custody case! Please read the reviews and run don’t walk! You have been warned!

Allison literally did not show up for two appointments which is unprofessional in any practice. Instead of taking full responsibility for her mistake she tried to shift blame when this was exactly what she was counseling us not to do to each other. Also, instead of affirming the few times we found common ground with each other, she sowed dissent by pushing her own personal ideologies. She was unable to control her emotions and had a meltdown when I fired her.

Worse experience of my children’s lives. Seems unable to act in the best interests of her patients. Apparently has substantial involvement in family court as a lawyer too, I feel like our family imploded once she got involved, and we were caught in her legal web. She broke confidentiality with no signed release. Court Order she involved controlled her income by never releasing child from treatment. They finally turned 18. My kids are still suffering her irreversible damage. Search her reviews.
