I saw Dr. Bloom on & off for two decades, I Ffnally left about a year ago because he Needs to retire. Actually fell asleep durring our sessions more than once in the last couple years. I reached my last straw with him when he shouted at me. Don't go!

We went to see Dr. Bloom on a consultation due to the frustration of failed depression treatments my husband had and he was quick to react as soon as he saw how depressed my husband was and gave us specific instructions to get the care he needed. We don't know what would have been of my husband had Dr. Bloom not intervened. We thank him again and again!

He claims to care but I found him callous and somewhat rude. I was referred to him for my child but decided to seek help elsewhere. I could tell I lost his attention several times during the conversation. Not a good experience.

Dr. Bloom brings years of valuable experience and interpretation to psychological testing enabling people to obtain a definitive diagnosis. This decreases individuals from going through many medication trials, at times. Dr. Bloom is a gifted therapist with complicated pathology cases. I highly recommend Dr. Bloom to many people. He also utilized insurance which is a rarity today, allowing families to receive the help they need.

It was reassurring to hear that others found this same doctor disheveled and unhelpful, boasting his knowledge while not actively listening to patient needs. It is sad that so much weight can be so misused by a psychologist with poor judgment and weak on interpretive skills and intervention. I hope people reading this will trust that there can be someone out there truly wanting to help you and not give up.

Dr. Bloom was excellent with our daughter and gave us some answers that we had been looking for since she was a child. His help has been instrumental in her getting the necessary accommodations that she needs to be successful in life. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a very thorough evaluation and explanation of what your disabilities. He also helped us to find out what help is out there to help her be successful.

When I saw Dr Bloom, he fell asleep during our sessions. Not once, but almost every time I saw him. Two of his former patients warned me that they had the same experience. In therapy he was gruff, did not seem engaged. When I reached the limit of sessions my insurance would allow, he called the insurance company and told them I was suicidal, so that they would extend coverage. He informed me of this only after he had received permission from them. I was not suicidal.
