She is an excellent doctor and I highly recommend her. She relieved my daughter's ankle pain in a day by recommending some exercises. My daughter is a swimmer and she had a swim event in a day.

I highly recommend Apex Manual Therapy. Dr. Shugart's expertise and professionalism have made my recovery faster and more tolerable than if I had gone with any other clinic. She is patient and very motivating.

I am getting results and becoming stronger. I am learning much and becoming more self aware in regards to how my muscles and my bones should be working together to provide pain free mobility. I wish I had seen her before I had surgery.

Dr. Shugart is absolutely wonderful. despite my insurance did not cover I still am willing to pay out of pocket to see her being that it will cost less in the long run. She spends all of the therapy with you, unlike some places that are just 15-20min, if that.

and although APEX Manual Therapy is out-of-network with my insurance, we went ahead with the consultation. Being that I, myself have been through physical therapy, I knew what was available through my in-network and hoping for better. Immediately, I saw that Dr. Shugart was an excellent choice as she has a wealth of knowledge in physical therapy. My daughter has mentioned that she is now actually having relief in her knees after having pain for so long. Quality physical therapy, worth every bit!

I started going to Alicia for back pain. I have been working with her for about a month now and have seen significant improvement! She is even helping correct my daily walking (how I walk, which affects everything else in your body) and shoulder (which I had surgery on 9 years ago and had a terrible PT for). Everything is coming back into place and am feeling so much better. She even explains in detail why she has you work on certain movements in a particular way, and why/how that is helping you

Dr. Alicia Shugart, with Apex Manual Therapy in Pflugerville is awesome! She has helped reduce my overall pain level by teaching me proper posture when walking, standing, sitting, & lying down. I no longer need frequent chiropractic adjustments. I wish I had found her years ago.

Alicia gets to know her patients, their current symptoms, limitations, and goals from physical therapy. She provides a treatment plan and encourages her patients to get well again by working with them in her facility and giving them exercises to do on their own. She teaches them good form in everyday movements like getting into and out of bed with the least amount of strain. She respects her patients by meeting them at the respective appointment times and cancelling appointments when the pati

I had an issue with my knee and my doc recommended that I see a physical therapist to prevent surgery. Alicia Shugart just happens to office where I have my office location. Since I have spoken with her in the past regarding her educational background and experience, I had no issue with having her look at my knee. I have been impressed with her knowledge and thoroughness during this process. I don't feel rushed during treatment and she welcomes the many questions I have. I highly recommend

Alicia has been a wonderful PT. She is very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming . She did a great job in meeting my family's needs, helping my child with exercises and individualizing her care. She gave lots of encouragement and great explanations. She always listened and answered my questions patiently. My child improved greatly in just a few sessions and her doctor was amazed at the rapid improvement. I would recommend Alicia to any of my friends.

Before seeing Alicia, I received PT from two other healthcare providers and multiple physical therapists. However, I never felt any improvement following my visits or received the one-on-one attention and hands-on therapy that I desperately needed. Not only have I experienced tremendous improvement in my physical capabilities and a significant reduction in my pain level since I began seeing Alicia, but I am completely off of my prescribed pain medications. There is no one else I trust for PT.

I went to Alicia when she worked for ARC, since then they ended their PT department. I now go to her through her Apex Manual Therapy business. I'm totally impressed with her passion for improving my range of motion with my scoliosis. I went to her initially just to slow down the degradation but she seems to be actually improving it. I cant imagine a more qualified person to deal with my scoliosis and post neck surgery limitations.

I have found Alicia's skills in what she does is effective. I have had unknown nerve pain in my body for years that comes and goes. And with just a few sessions of going to Alicia for almost about 2 months I have my pain way less then when I had it every single day lasting for about an hour, 2 to 4 times a day. Going to Alicia my pain has cut down to not even having pain for up to 2 weeks. And if I ever go to see her and I may have any other pain she takes care of that as well. No pains allowed

As a lifelong athlete anhighly active father of 3, rupturing my Achilles was arguably the most humbling experience of my life. I honestly don’t know where I’d be without Dr. Shurgart and can’t imagine going through my recovery with any other PT. Strong foundational knowledge and ability to see the bigger picture. Aside from being technically gifted, she is friendly and genuinely cares about her patients. Supportive and optimistic but not scared to be direct and challenge me to exceed goals.
