Alecia Sadowski, NP

Terrible experience. I went to see Alecia for my annual visit and to discuss my infertility. After our conversation, I felt like my infertility was all in my head and nothing was wrong with me. She was hesitant about ordering blood work to test my hormone levels that could be contributing to my fertility problems, but after I pretty much begged for the blood work she ordered it. A few days later I got my results and they were in a normal range. I called the office because I wanted to discuss next steps in trying to figure out my difficulties conceiving. I had to leave a message but the nurse assured me Alecia would call Me. The next day, I did not receive a call but a message from Alecia saying my blood work was normal. No follow up advice or anything. I decided to take my results elsewhere for a second opinion. I am sure glad I did this. I was diagnosed with PCOS where follow up ultrasounds and an HSG were ordered- something that was never mentioned as follow up diagnostics by Alecia. Those tests showed I have a septate uterus. I now have to have surgery and I have been told IVF is my only hope to conceive. If I had continued care with Alecia, I would have kept trying to conceive and thinking it was just “bad timing” (her words). And if I had miraculously conceived, I would have most likely miscarried due to my septate uterus. Continuing care with Alecia would have been a heartbreak and mental breakdown waiting to happen. I’m glad I trusted my gut. I wish I could have trusted my health care provider.
