So far, so good!
I saw Abby Bice for my initial appointment at IMMUNOe last week. As someone with an "invisible illness" (a complex, chronic inflammatory condition) who has seen the best (rare) and the worst (the norm) that modern medicine has to offer to chronic patients, I'm a pretty harsh critic. At this point, I've truly seen it all and suffered through a lot of bad encounters. I came away from my initial appointment with Abby impressed and hopeful, and I know I didn't waste my time traveling from out of state. Abby struck me as compassionate, thorough, patient, empathic, stoic, and very bright. Her understanding of complex ideas was impressive. She seemed to handle everything I threw at her with ease and grace, and I undoubtedly threw a lot at her in the hour she spent with me. I walked away from my initial appointment impressed with the scope of the initial assessment and their approach of looking at the whole person and multiple potential contributing factors. So far, so good!
