Dr. Zoran Maric, MD

Seen for IME for 2 work related injuries. Told insurance it was a musculoskeletal sprain and my pain was from my weight and mental health. History of herniated disc with classic presentation with these two injuries. This last injury recovered enough in a week that I could go back to work, and he used this as justification that it wasn't a disc issue. The only reason it is better...I'm a Doctor of Physical Therapy and doing what is necessary to get back to treating my patients.

Saw Dr. Maric in 2009 at Arizona Spine Center where I complained with chronic back pain. He took an x-ray, performed an examination and said that "my back wasn't broken" and "he only does back surgery, so he had no other advice or help to offer." Interestingly, less than a year afterward I talked with Dr. Maric at a Christmas party where he was bragging about making over $1 million from the back surgeries he was doing - I don't think he recognized me as a patient and maybe thought I was another doctor because the party was mostly other doctors (I was invited by another doctor) - whole conversation was about money and how much money he was making - sad human being, I felt sorry for him, and I thought that certainly explained why he had no other advice for me during my office visit with him. Subsequent to that time, I have had excellent care from others which prescribed physical therapy and other activities which have greatly helped my condition.

Not a Doctor he is a Lobbyist for the insurance company. He is a sorry excuse for a human being. Only cares about how much money the insurance company pays him to write false reports!

If I could I would give zero stars. Fought with him for eight years about lower back pains after he had done surgery on me after a 32ft fall crushing L4 and breaking L2 in half. When he finally decided to do something, Workman's Comp. sent me for second opinion. That doctor wrote 175 page summary that said in part Dr. Maric has been woefully neglectful in this patients care for over eight years and his suggested surgery would serve no purpose. Needless to say that was the last time i ever seen Dr. Maric. Was extremely glad i did in the end.

Dr. Meric did 2 laminectomeys on me, well now my disc collapsed and I was bone on bone, when I went in to have my L5S1 fused my Dr. found a large disc fragment that Dr. Meric left in there. So if I was trying to consult with a back surgon, look else where...I went to the Texas Back Institute in Dallas, the Dr. there does the 360 back fusion less invasive and I was up and walking the night of the surgery, and went home the next day.

Dr. Z fused my neck in 2001, have not had a problem since.

Hired by insurance companies to discredit real treating physicians and injured persons. Should not be allowed to practice in any state in this country.

The best of the best and i would not be where I am today if I was not properly treated for my back by doctor and his staff:)

Uncomplicated microdiscectomy w excellent results following a worker’s comp case. Great doc, he fixed 18 months of lumbar radiculopathy within an hour. His physical therapy referrals are awesome as well!

Fantastic care by Dr Z!

Dr. Maric has been the only doctor to be prompt everytime I am in his office. He is patient and friendly for every appointment that I have taken my mother to. He has helped my mother in more ways than I can count and I am very appreciative of everything he has done. I would most definatly recommend him to my friends and family.

Dr. Maric is a fine physician. He was extremely supportive and handled my case quickly and professionally. I had fractured 3 vertebrae and was in significant pain. He listened to my concerns and addressed my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Maric.

I am Canadian and on vacation. Our Travel Insurance suggested Dr. Maric. We lucked out. I can't say enough good things about this Doctor.

He is a kind, caring top notch surgeon.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Dr Maric spent a good amount of time with me and was very through with his exam and explanation. I was surprised that they do not digitize their xrays so I had to go to the office and pick them up instead of being able to email them. The office is at a considerable distance from my home area. I went to him because of a recommendation and happy I did.

Excellent doctor and staff!! Very pleased with the care I received!
