Dr. Khan saw my son back in 2017. We requested his medical records. Not even his medical records his discharged records. She refused, stating it was detrimental to his health. Are you serious? The same person who thought he didn't have insurance so they release him early. To find out that he did and wanted to continue receiving mental health services. She is full of crap. By law you can release medical records, you don't have to release the notes. We just wanted this discharge papers. Unfortunately for her we will be suing. It is obvious she has something in the charts she doesn't want him to see. Oh and for the nurse that answered the phone. Learn when someone is mad at the situation and not you. Customer Service Skills are horrible. I am sure you know who this is by this statement. Do better !

I would never recommend Dr. Khan. My wife was wrongfully placed into Springwood by an assessor. She was not suicidal, but since we had insurance, she threatened to keep my wife in the facility an additional 5 days. Any patient that was self pay she released the next day even after suicide attempts and ideations. She did not release her until we threatened leagal action and exposure. BEWARE!!!!

I love Dr Khan! She has helped me with my illness and answers both mine and my husbands questions. Doesn’t over prescribe me anything and knows that meds can not be the only thing to help me get better. Always talks to me about working with a therapist too. I thjust no that’s very important.

I was under Dr.Khan’s care at Springwood behavioral health hospital. She was horrible and threatened me multiple times to make me stay longer if I tried to go home. She knew I was being abused by the staff and did nothing this woman should have her license revoked. After leaving her facility I had to seek help for a psychologist how diagnosed me with ptsd from my time under her care. ??

Dr Khan is an excellent psychiatrist and will tell you the blunt truth whether you like it or not. I worked as a mental health tech for 2 years in a facility she worked in and not only did she treat my mother (who loved her) but I trust her enough to take my kid to her. Negative posts are usually by family who have no understanding how the laws and facilities work. She is great if you want honest and upfront doctor.

Dr. Khan made my son feel like a prisoner. She wouldn't make eye contact with him or respond to his requests (which are listed in the mental health patient rights handbook). The meds she prescribed were actually detrimental to him. He was threatened with being committed. She refused to speak to us (his parents), even when he specifically requested that we be involved. The 6 days that our son was in this facility under the care of Dr. Khan were a total nightmare!

Refuses to transfer my wife to a facility in our home state, despite being told she would if my wife agreed to voluntary inpatientl care at her facility. My wife is stuck in a state by herself while depressed because I need to return to military duty. She lobviously doesn't really care about what's best for her patients as she doesn't even talk to them, she just sits there and listens and doesn't bring anything to sessions with her. Do not believe anything she tells you.
