Dr. Zhongyu Zhang, MD

He was a truly great doctor and helped many people over the years. But this doctor has retired as per Abington Memorial Hospital

I went to Dr. Zhang for low back pain with the initial examination at the Abington Hospital office. I had back surgery 36 years ago which kept me pain free until last year. Had several injections and several epidurals and some Physical Therapy which should sound very familiar to individuals with low back pain. Obviously the pain will present differently from one patient to another but, for me, it was debilitating at times. Dr. Zhang gave me a thorough examination, asking very detailed questions. Spent time listening and evaluating. I had my first Acupuncture treatment the day of my initial examination and from that moment on I was essentially completely and totally pain free. I have just completed my 6th visit and have been mobile and now not guarding my every movement. Can not express the gratitude to Dr. Zhang for his expert help, compassion and professionalism. I love Dr. Zheng he is amazingly compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. The only doctor in 15 years who when giving me knee or back injections I didn’t feel a pinch-! I am truly grateful for having such a considerate dr, and I highly recommend.

Dr. Zhang is not only supremely competent, but he is a sweet, kind, highly empathetic and professional physician. He helped my husband quit smoking (after a lifetime of trying), and helped both of my elderly parents with pain management. Perhaps best of all, he is honest about what he can and cannot treat. I cannot recommend him more highly.
