EXCELLENT CARE !
I was visiting Las Vegas from West Virginia on a gambling excursion with 4 friends.I had flown out earlier to attend a business convention and my companions were arriving via commercial air at midnight.I had not been feeling very well.After getting everyone checked in I returned to my room with one of the new arrivals.I woke up about 2 am with my left arm and left side of my jaw in pain.I called the front desk and was immediately transported to the nearest hospital where Dr. Lagstein admitted me for possible heart surgery.After consulting with my cardiologist back in West Virginia, the decision was made to attempt to open the blocked arteries via catherization.Dr. Lagstein was personable and very attentive.Due to existing neurological problems surgery was delayed to see how many blockages could be opened via catherization.I could immediately feel the left arm pain subside while Dr. Lagstein was using the catherization to open what turned out to be 4 major arteries blocked 80%

I have been his patient for two years and couldn’t be happier. He doesn’t rush you. He always answers all of my questions. You won’t find a more compassionate doctor anywhere. Everyone in the community loves him. Now I know why. It’s worth the 45 minute drive.

Awesome experience
If you could call anything related to seeing a heart doctor awesome. Just the thought is scary. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Lagstein explained all procedures and reasons to have them.

He told me I have LVH but couldn't explain why I had it and kept saying it was weird because I'm young and I don't have high blood pressure. When I asked him if it could be hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (looked it up from the description he explained instead of telling me his 'diagnosis') he basically laughed in my face and said I was young and that he will check my heart in 6 months, but to exercise more. I don't know if he needs a reminder but hypertrophic cardiomyopathy can cause LVH without the high blood pressure and is the leading cause of death in young athletes.. like me. I also had someone in my family die suddenly from playing basketball. I will not be going back here. Thanks for walking out of my face without reassuring me or saying goodbye. He also didn't care to check any of my valves to see if i have aortic stenosis (echo is empty!) .. 2 conditions can cause LVH. The ladies in the office and in the back are very pleasant and I respect them highly.
